Check Engine Light

Good Afternoon To All

My 1995 U-300 with the Cat 3176 started showing me the check engine light on steady but flashes about every 4 seconds at idle,
I'm pretty remote where I live in South Louisiana, so not so easy to get to someone with a scanner, So I'm trying to figure it out, If I run down the road in 4th gear and keep the RPM above 1500 no light when I drop down to about 1350 the light come back on, When I accelerate hard the light goes out and stays out if I keep the RPM up..
Any Idea's

I would first suspect oil pressure. It could be the sensor for the engine light sensor or you have low oil
pressure.
