Loud bang during slide retraction

Getting ready to depart from FOT, wife was retracting the bedroom slide, and we heard a very loud bang. The slide was almost completely in when it occurred. It sounded like something had either broken or had been in a bind and suddenly let go. Checking outside the slide appeared to be retracted to the proper setting. When we got home, I extended the side thinking I would need to access something under the wardrobe and very thing seemed normal. Before I start tearing anything apart, has anyone had something like this? My first thought is that it is a stop for the slide that has broken. Pics of the slide set up for wardrobe slide would be great.

Thank, Ron

I think the '02 has the same wardrobe slide mechanism as the '03 (front slides are different).  Look about halfway down on this page Slide Room Sensors  That was our desk, but would be a wardrobe slide in most coaches with N/S beds.

Thanks , those pictures help a lot. The very first pic at the top of the page, I see a couple of aluminum angles that appear to be some sort of stop, as opposed to a mounting bracket for the prox switch. One of them is not flush like it has had pressure applied. Can you clarify that for me?

The aluminum brackets seen in the first picture hold the switches that turn off the ceiling puck lights when you pull the slide in.

Any chance the coach wasn't level when you pulled the slide in?  Something bound up?

We have the same coach.  Anything left in the path?  Maybe something with the awning?
