Pre-flight checklist

This may have already been asked and answered, but I didn't find much using the search feature. Does anyone have an inside and outside checklist you use when prepping for travel that you'd be willing to share? I was planning to create my own but need some help getting started. Also, why reinvent the wheel if it already exists?
Thank you!  :)

There are many Foreforum members who are pilots, including several former military and possibly airline pilots.  Some of them may have developed such checklists and may share them here.  Although I do not have a formal checklist, my wife and I have a specific routine that we crosscheck each other on.  The one tactile reminder that I use (like a "remove before flight" ribbon) is an item (pictured) that I place on the steering wheel every time I plug into shore power.  It doesn't take much of an imagination to figure out why I began this practice.

My father is a pilot and I flew with him many times. Great memories!

Check lists are great and they work if you use them. I don't practice what I preach. I had trouble with my fuel cap, so I now put it on the front step while fueling. As Rich said, "Don't ask how that protocol became essential."

What a great idea. Checklists for the travel day madness is a great idea.  I like that this checklist has a check box. Thank you George. I heard a seasoned pilot say one time, "A checklist item deferred is a checklist item forgotten."  In life, I have found that to be a true adage.

ask me why the last item; kitchen sink empty....
ok I'll tell you.  I have a habit of leaving the small side of the sink full with soapy water for washing dishes as I dirty them.  Pulled out of camp one time with a full sink on a bumpy road.... you can imagine.  It shorted out the intellitec light switch near the sink and put plenty of soapy water on the floor.  Luckily when the intellitec board dried out it went back to normal operation.

LOL I was going to ask about that item.

The quote from Michelle's auto signature fits that situation perfectly. This is a great prompt for me to write something down for myself. Most of what will be on my list is either from previous mistakes I've made or heard others have. Murs, this is a great conversation starter. Thank you.

I have one checklist for packing the coach at home, that lists the stuff I usually do and take before leaving on a trip.  Then I also have a drive checklist.  This checklist is on the last pages of my maintenance book that is always in the coach.  I refer to it every time I stop somewhere to stay, or leave from a stay.  When I was married, I had the thought that if I ever got hurt somewhere, that I wanted the DW to be able to follow the check list and get us home or to where we needed to go.  Basically it's a check list to set up camp or pull camp from wherever we were. I've attached it here.

Checking fluid levels including coolant level plus belt condition.

Tire pressure and condition. Reducing pressure from sidewall specs also reduces the load capacity.

Antennas down. A neighbor forgot and tore off the TV antenna. That cost thousands plus he did it again a few months later.

Read and follow towing instructions for your toad. Stop and check hitch. Consider quick connect hitch pins/chain fittings in case of an emergency. Don't lock hitch onto ball while underway.

Don't park at campsite with rear tires backed up to a log. If the rear is higher, it make drop down when the coach is leveled and damage undercarriage.

Don't back up without a spotter. Don't back up with toad connected.

Make sure everyone in the coach knows how to get out in an emergency.

Shutdown engine when fueling at diesel pump! Check primary fuel filter clear sight glass for algae and leaks.
