Power tech help needed

Hi all,

As I have a trip planned for next week I am scrambling for answers!

Last week my generator would start right up, but then would turn off after a few minutes of running. I've had this problem in the past and had to replace a fuel line and so with expectations to have to deal with that today, I am here.

Now my problem is the generator will not start at all. In fact when I hit run, I see the preheat light come on. I hear a few clicks of relays towards the back of the bus and with no crank no attempt to start. I'm getting an over crank red light illuminating After a few minutes.

Any help to help me diagnose this issue would be greatly appreciated. I thought the generator would be a simple issue and so after just dropping several coach bucks send this thing for new tires front AC a front wheel seal I'm kicking myself in the butt for not having the mechanic glance at this for me.

Thank you so much for any time and effort that you put into this.

Replacing ES52 on 1997 PowerTech 8KW generator  might explain the random shutdowns (you should get a red error light)

But if you also have no starter cranking, you may have an additional new problem combined with the first.

Is your cooling fan running when the engine is? Coolant level at the right level?

very helpful.PS,if it's the 8kw it has the belt driven cooling fan.
