Adding fuel fill to driver's side 91 u300

Has anyone added a fuel fill to the driver's side in their coach,  or have any idea how hard it would be? I feel silly starting the pump and leaving the nozzle on the ground, then walking to the other side to use the satellite nozzle to fill. This is at the truck fuel islands. I stay away from the car fuel pumps, and the open roads card only works at the truck pumps I think.

Just thought I'd ask. I can't imagine it's an easy modification.

Long ago I posted a company that supplies fuel necks and various things like that. I have been out of commission for a few days but once back to 93% I will see if that link still works. Before you start find you a GOOD welder that has an aluminum tig welding machine he will know what to do to make a good weld. I would remove the tank just in case you have a thermal run away and burn the coach to the ground. Difficulty for the average person beyond a 15 on a scale of 1 to 10 for a good aluminum welder about a 3.  Where to find a welder if you aren't in the middle of the oil field? Talk to a boat shop as they will know a welder that works with them to fix aluminum boats when Jack Daniels does the driving.
To answer you basic questions,
Can it be done? Yes
Is it difficult? refer to above thoughts
A lot of use the satellite pumps and have never felt anything but a drain on the pocket book
Leave your copilot at the main hose to make sure you are just filling your coach 

Is it worth it??? Well

I would start by finding someone willing to weld on an aluminum diesel fuel tank to add a fill.

I KNOW in the marine industry, the risk vs reward is not there.

Can't you just enter from the other way and use the pump with the brain?
I usually use the car island pumps but used a truck stop a couple weeks ago.

Going through the pumps the wrong direction in most truck stops would make you very unpopular, I would think.

NO. unless your paranoid of some one lifting five gallons of fuel while your out of view. Your not the first to set the nozzle on the ground to pump.

I do every time I fill up. If I fuel up on the drivers side, the bay door is hinged on top so the door sticks out when opened whereas the passenger bay door slides up parallel to the coach and only sticks out about 4 inches making it much easier to fuel.
