transmission temp. gauge

2002 u295 , my transmission temp dash gauge is not working. Is there any fuse protection that would be involved and if so where is the fuse located ? I have the 400 hp cumming with the allison 3000 tranny.

Have you checked that the connection to the sender unit is clean and tight?

I strongly recommend the Scanguage D.  Trans temp is one of the four parameters that I have displayed at all times.  I don't trust any of my dash gauges.  You may have a problem with the blue/black mystery box that all of the dash gauges feed through.

Check at the rear bottom of the transmission. There are 2 large hoses attached to elbows, one of them has a sender with a wire that is supposed to be connected.

That sender has a finnicky connection, to bad it isn't a stud with a nut.
