RV-C is built on the Controller Area Network (CAN) bus, a robust and fast data network. This network connects everything in your coach together. When you turn a light on, operate AC, Aquahot, generator and other items to talk to each other. Every item has a small computer that listens to the communications on the bus and if it hears a request from another device requesting it to act, it does what the request was and then give a status message back as to outcome. Items such as your transfer switch are constantly sending out status messages to the bus giving message such as being on shore power or generator, voltage, amps and cycles of the power. Other items listen to these status messages with some devices displaying the status message or possible act on them.
Your Silverleaf dash is connected to the RV-C bus. When you turn the RV-C switch off it shuts off power to the bus which then powers down all of modules connected to it, thus resetting all of the little computers.
It is possible that a module has cause havoc on the bus and keep the flow of messages, shutting the system down.
