VIP steering wheel

After a nice conversation with Bob Mcgee last night , I have ordered a VIP PC215L  and PC107FT
horn  pad, to replace the old BK wheel in 97 U270, the writing on the old pad was almost gone and the button's were getting hard to set for the cruise control, so it was time to replace it, should have the new one in about a week.

Bill, let's see some pictures when you're done as a fellow U270 of the same year owner, I too am suffering w/o the graphics on the wheel.

The new steering wheel is installed and works great, VIP is a great company, the first wheel they sent had a problem, I called and talked to Dan in tech support and told him what it would not do, he said no problem, I will have a new wheel built and shipped to you N/C send the old wheel back when you have everything installed and working, it feels good to find a company that stands behind it's products.

Sorry Peter, I forgot to take pictures, it is pretty strait forward, you need to be careful when the wheel comes loose, there are 2 springs under the shaft cover that will pop out when you remove the wheel.
Tools, 1 1/4 wrench or socket, steering puller, 2 5/16x2 NF bolts for puller, wrench for puller and go to work.
P.S. make sure the start battery ground is removed before you start.
