Remove holding tanks

Can anyone out there tell me how to remove the holding tanks and the water lines ,the water line looks like you need a special crimping tool and the tanks look like you knock out the white fibreglass spacers underneath the tanks and the tanks would drop down so that the drain of washer and toilet and shower would clear the tanks. Or am I way off on this one.

The fiberglass platforms that the tanks sit on are tapered towards the outlets. You have to remove the maniblock water manifold mounting screws and pull it out of the way. Pull out the fiberglass platforms after removing the caulking around the bottom edges and any screws that might be there. Pull out the fiberglass platforms after removing the caulking around the bottom edges and any screws that might be there. Then the tanks can drop down low enough to clear the vent and inlet pipes, which are in rubber grommets through the top of the tanks. I will try and find a picture that shows the tanks sitting on the fiberglass platforms. You can see the wedge shape.

How were you able to do that. He asked me for info. I commenced searching. Thru many loops I finally stumble on that link. I sent it to him via text msg. He was unable to open it as he was on iPad. With fourm. So I then tried to put a link as you did. Was unable due to lack of operator knowledge on fourm.
So I went to the old link and posted in it to pull it to front of fourm. Then told him.

Open to training!  Thanks

Here's a bunch of photos of when I removed the tanks from our 95. They might be useful. I was not able to pull either tank down off the pipes and had to cut the rubber grommets. Thry are pricey so I hope you have better luck with them. Also, I replaced my black tank with one with slightly different dimensions so I had to fabricate a new cradle for it. It's not a real hard job so I think you will manage it without problems. Good luck.

the water lines ,the water line looks like you need a special crimping tool

Rick,

With you having a '99 your Water piping will be standard 1/2" PXE tubing. I prefer copper rings that require a crimping tool.  You can get a simple crimper for a few $ up to a high $$ one. The choice is yours and how much you will be using this tool.  Others use the stainless steel squeeze crimps and have success with those.  Others forgo crimping and use "SharkBite" press fittings. These press fittings are convenient but won't work in all applications.
