Today, in honor of the up coming trip to Arcadia, Fl, I decided to change the hydraulic filters (3) and using  new rubber gasket ring, took about 4.5 gal 15w-40 Rotella.  Ran on hi speed idle for half hour all seems good.
Old oil looked dark, cleaned up as there was a lot of crud and rust, now feels and looks great.

Dave, You bet, About 20 years ago, I joined a motley gang called CCO or Converted Coach Owners, every new years eve we met somewhere in southern Fl, had tried other popular areas, but wound up around the lake area, then  we got to joining a Busnuts group, that is how it became Arcadia, I have made that event at Arcadia 4 times and the other sites 9 times.  Then I took a different route with the RV, wound up with this Foretravel (Store bought) RV, this will be my first time going with out the MCI, sort of testing the waters  so to speak, they might start throwing empty oil cans at me.  ;D
This had turned out to be rather large, up to ab out 200 coaches of all types and sizes now, good chow, entertainment and different classes of interest to the bus gang types, lots of fun for the over the hill kids.
Come on down !  $75.00 + daily $6.00 dry camping or $25.00 hookups

I replaced the antenna head while in a campground in Nebraska, the temp got up to about 40 degrees, had to wait for the frost and ice on the roof to melt before going up there and also unhooked the grab handle ground wire as the outside light was staying on all the time. Right now wished that I was back in Florida. This is not the time of the year to go north, but so far the aqua hot is doing fine.

Still waiting to get mine out of the shop!!!  Been there longer than expected.  Told him to take his time cause I know that this time of year he can get real busy.  Got a new PRXB Pac  brake installed and new Cruise King cruise control to replace the Bendix one.  The cruise control has been a pia!  First had to replace the speed sensor.  And it still was not working right.  After a bunch of diagnosing, it was determined that the new circuit board was bad.  So we have been waiting for Cruise King to send the replacement.  Hopefully this will fix it.  It was working but the minute it hit a down hill run, the cruise would start accelerating to full throttle, and that was not good at all.  Few other thing I want to get done are not on the back burner because of this delay.

It was revealed to the Planning and Decorating Department that the original shiny brass knobs were very dated, and SO last century, so we replaced all 36 cabinet knobs with new antiqued brass ones.  Actually a big improvement.

Ten years ago, I found a tire shop in St. Lucie, Fl that knows what they are doing and they do it too.
SO today I had then balance all six wheels using the rolling road test for hard spots etc, all took between 4-6 oz each.
Also had new stems installed in the outter dual for easy access plus installed the long stem on the inner wheel. (Had one done at Nac) now both are done.
The new short stems make for easy access for the pressure Pro and of course one is now leaking, so in the AM, will have a look see, mean while I removed it and screwed on a regular cap. (Always hoping PP would design the idiot proof sensor)
Tomorrow off to Arcadia for the gear head vention.  ;D

Dave K, Do you have plans for the brass lamps, puck lights and the shower door? I have been wanting to change ours to a rubbed bronze along with the faucets but the shower door is the big stopping point. I wonder if any one has tried to paint or change the brass anodized shower frame?

We used the hammered bronze spray paint on a porch light and a over sink bathroom light. It came out looking great but I'm concerned that it would peel if used on a slick surface that would be handled on a daily basis like the shower frame. If you sanded the smooth surface of the frame it would probably adhere OK but it would still be paint and not a plated finish. It really does look good and matched the sink hardware.

We did change the "Aunt Ethel" style lamps in the living area to a more modern lamp that would match our Southwest theme (sort of antique copper - from Gustafson lighting -  and changed the bedroom "Aunt Ethel" lights to more modern brass swing arms, but the Decorating Department is looking for replacements for those.    Luckily we only have two puck lights, so they may stay, or we may try Kent & Peggy's spray.

No answer for the shower frame.  I think we will just live with it.

The Magellan Roadmate 1700LM we ordered from Amazon ($150 or so) arrived this morning. This unit has one advantage in that the Co-Pilot SD-chip can be inserted to make it into a Co-Pilot RV device which is then configurable according to the RV (MH, 5er, trailer, etc.) and weight and length. The chip is about $80 at Amazon. We did not order the Co-Pilot device but will be testing the 7" 1700LM (with free map updates but no traffic info - and no ads!!!) and reporting back after this week's cross-country ski trip to Winthrop, WA.

Fixed the 12VDC compressor for the HWH leveling system. It would not run.

Checked wiring diagram for 12VDC systems. Identified breaker switch for compressor. Input to breaker was 13.2 VDC. Output was 0. Reset button was depressed. Applied "percussive adjustment" to the breaker switch with the butt of a big screwdriver. Ahh! 13.2 VDC in; 13.2 VDC out.

Pump would run, but would not inflate air bags. Climbed into main storage bay and pulled compressor from the cubby it shares with the inverter. It came out without having to remove and wires or hoses. Pulled condensation bowl and disassembled drain valve. Cleaned bowl and valve with RO water and tooth brush. Reassembled and reinstalled. Joy! Compressor will now add air to air bags. It's slooww, but it works.

Did the work at a campground in Billings, MT. High temp today was 55F. It was very pleasant! It was also satisfying to successfully complete a task with the tools at hand.  :)

J D, I love your term, "percussive adjustment."  I have used the technique countless times in the past but never knew the proper terminology.  Thanks for the edification.

I think I picked up the term "percussive maintenance" from Michelle in this forum. I keep a rubber mallet on board for many adjustment and maintenance tasks. The handle of a screwdriver is useful for more than just guiding the pointy end.  ;)

My water pump wa cycling on and off every once in a while. I checked and found the water pump was leaking out the seams of the head and around the pressure switch. I installed the spare pump that I always carry with me, so will have to pick up another spare pump. I was sure glad that I had a spare. The weather has warmed up to about 60 degrees today, so felt very fortunate about that.

Today started of as a good day until the furnace decided to start to squeal, no big deal ,take heater a part put oil on motor shaft and make sure the fan spins freely, reassemble fan housing, test furnace, fan runs but no heat, check wiring all looks good no loose wires, still no heat, check sail switch, power in no power out, pull sail switch and ohm out, checks good, check again still no heat, to make along story short , the wires to the motor were reversed
the fan was running in the wrong direction,so the sail switch could not close, swapped the wires and now we have heat, Oh the low tonight in Tampa 31-34.

Removed the Grey and black tanks (after some copious flushing with fresh water...). Today to remove the FRP skin off the floor, the wet wood, and the foam insulation. Then start the metal clean up process...

Dave K, I am interested in hearing more about your resonator project. What resonator and plumbing are you using? Also, how hard is it to remove the panel?

Took off the maniblock, misc. trim, the fiberglass compartment floor, the plywood sandwhich between the frame members, and the foamboard insulation in the utility compartment (area under the grey and black tanks). Quicker and easier to say than to do!

WOW.  I am going to have to stop reading this tread. You all making me feel really lazy. Today I had Kent unplug my rear radio (never used and uses a lot of power). Changed a light bulb. That was it for the last 6 weeks. Oh, paid someone to wash and wax the coach...but that doesn't count as the tread says what did "you" do your coach today.  :P :)) ^.^d ;D :D :D :o  Next few days I will check the fluids to get on the road Monday...
