... Oh, paid someone to wash and wax the coach...but that doesn't count as the tread says what did "you" do your coach today.  :P :)) ^.^d ;D :D :D :o  ...
Sure that counts! It doesn't last, but it counts.

Fifteen days ago I paid someone to wash the oil off our coach after the steering gear leaked eight quarts of oil in 1600 miles. The coach looked great! Then we went to Missouri and Montana. It was a great visit, but there was a bit of snow and rain along the way. After driving through slush in Wyoming, the coach and Jeep are a mess.

What did I do today? I unloaded clothing and groceries after the trip. Still to do: fill with fuel, empty waste tanks, wash, wax, get HWH leveling system fixed, check why water heater works intermittently, check why passenger set adjuster works intermittently, ...

Ain't it fun?! If we are fortunate, we have fun toys and tools.  :)

Took advantage of the 55 degree weather here in ND to run the 60 miles into Fargo and filled up with propane and the cheap diesel ($3.70 only) :P  Bought a led light to replace the one under the bathroom cupboard that had burned out.

WOW.  I am going to have to stop reading this tread. You all making me feel really lazy.

I can beat your laziness level.  My coach "efforts" were paying the first quarter 2012 storage invoice.  I used PayPal so I didn't have to get off the couch  :))

Man, you guys are driving me crazy with the mods and updates.  I've washed mine... once.  BUT today that all changed!  I got my new window latches in and now I get to replace the broken plastic latches on a few windows tomorrow.

My D5 door behind drive wheel would not open, crawl under and release it, ok, clean & lube, still not wanting to release the latch, so found the linkage was a tad bit too long, so put more "S" in the link, now works fine. Now the door will not latch closed, the latch works fine, it is just not hitting the pin correctly, so tomorrow will have a better look see.  Hate cranky latches.

I think I picked up the term "percussive maintenance" from Michelle in this forum. I keep a rubber mallet on board for many adjustment and maintenance tasks.

Wish I were that creative, but no, credit goes to Dave Katsuki for that descriptive terminology  :)

Unfortunately many good upgrades are getting buried under this title and would like to see this topic title go away. Searching for an item like the resonator upgrade info could prove difficult without providing a unique topic title. In the future I will not post upgrades or repairs under this topic but will post under an appropriately individually titled topic.

Today, repaired/adjusted door latch on D5 (one behind driver side drive wheel), had been a bear to get adjusted correct where it held and would release, found that narrow range of adjustment is very narrow indeed, but bingo it now works great.
Next changed oil & oil filter on teh Power Tech at 1932.3 hrs, still runs like a new young puppy.  Did both fuel and air filter a week ago.  Did replace the small fuel filter with a much larger and finer 10 micron filtering spin on.

The weather was kick-butt today in Cincinnati...54F and sunny, so I decided it was a good time to exercise the coach.  Ran genset for 20 minutes with boost & block heater "on".  Checked oil levels for Cummins block & hydraulic reservoir.  Cummins started right up!  Aired-up one tire (the same one every time...still...even after repair...yeah, right...it could be a bad inner dual driver side).  Drove 30 miles with engine A/C running...Batteries were at 12.77v. coach (8 years old) & 12.55v. start (8 years old).

Needs the other auto belt tensioner replaced...darn, I wish I had purchased the two instead of just one.  Oh well...

Decided to not dump the air bags this time, and left the air supply tanks full.  I'll check in a couple weeks to check if there is any "listing".

Re-installed the interior door panel on our coach after having it recovered by a furniture restoration company in Tucson (Restor-to-Nu).  I had this done because a hole in the material had developed under the handle.  They found a material that was a close match.  Cost was $138 and it looks great.

I just updated our Slingbox. Slingbox is a device that connects to a video source in your home, cable, Sat. Air and allows you to watch through the internet on your phone or laptop. So you pay for the system equipment and if you have Internet service you have your home tv service. We bought tried and returned an in-motion sat. System and this works far better while going down the road. It is a fraction of the price of the sat system. I have an unlimited account with verison so for us it is great. I also connected a router up with my sterio equipment that lets me connect the tv, blueray, laptop with a DSL cable and allows up to 30 wireless connections near or in the coach. This lets the I phone and I pads to connect.

We have been parked in a campground in Nebraska for the last month and the aqua hot has been running quite a bit so today while the roads were dry we took the coach to a truck stop to refill the diesel tank, took 93 gallons, not exactly cheap to keep warm but then we were comfortable all the time. DW does not like to have to wear a sweater to keep warm so the aquahot does a fine job. Looking forward to being able to leave here and return to Florida.

Well nice pretty day, removed the pass side couch (came out relatively easy in 3 pieces). Replaced it with euro chair, and looking for some kind of small computer desk. Ride height valves and air leaks next weekend.

The weather is just peachy, so I removed the troublesome bladder tank and re-plumbed some of the water bay, after our trip to the FMCA meet at Brooksville, I will re-plumb the entire water bay with new pex tubing and Sea Tech fittings. ^.^d

Here is a little something that improves life a little.

Mounted soap dispensers in the shower and at the bathroom sink.  They stick on with tape and silicone and once up they are immovable.  We had them in our trailer and it is nice not to have to hunt the soap down after a trip. They have a lot of nice stuff and are a good company to deal with.  Other than as a customer I have no connection with them.

It was a beautiful warm and sunny day here on Saturday but discovered that a fastener that held the front left fender assembly on our U225 had disappeared. Bought a new fastener and replaced it. Not sure when it happened but it was tight getting between the bumper and the body. Relatively easy fix, however. :)

Edit: Friday I had a friend who has never been in any motor home visit which coincided with time to drive the coach 20 miles every month. Took her down the freeway and back and she was plenty impressed; although thinks a 36' RV is a mite too long (she has a "Scamp" TT about 13' long). Nice weather hear. I love global warming!!!

In pursuit of the coach's ability to hold air as it did 10 years ago, I removed both solenoid manifolds (2x2x10 metal 'stilts' to keep the body off the frame, marked air hoses and electricals) for workbench inspection and cleaning/lube.  Will probably replace 'O' rings and such with a kit from HWH if they have something like that for a '96.  Groundhog said 6 more weels of winter.....
