Just finished removing all decals. For the time being I guess I will call it the Great White. The gel coat looks so good that it may be awhile before doing a paint job on it. I am also nearing the finish on replacing all the carpet with Allure flooring. Useing the one foot square tile layed on 45 degree. I will try to get some pictures posted when finished.

Put the new primary fuel filter on and pumped away, then turned the key. Started up fine and all systems go.
Then I started to  take each bay apart (not fully) but looking for possible rattles and points that new a splash of tlc. Found one at the exit area of CAC were the flex pipe joins, Bracket to support rad' has been touching the pipe so ground the corner off brkt and inserted a small rubber bushing to keep them apart. Then check a few electric connectors and make sure no corrosion in it. Had a look at Manablock set up and fixed some loose level sensor tape on black tank. then checked the reel s for water and power and found the water one rattles a lot when banged (maybe that is were the noise comes from when driving on rough roads-really drives me nuts but not Ruth!I will take that unit out in the morning and take apart. I should do the electric one as well as latch does not catch a lot of the time till you let it in and out a few times. Lots of fun.

Because our "big old batteries" are located under the steps and weigh just short of a ton apiece when you have back problems, I removed them in order to properly check water levels and then fill where necessary. THIS TIME I did premark all cables so I would get them back correctly(electric etch pencil and cable ties). Also cleaned and wire brushed all posts and clamps. Then, because the fiberglass inboard of the rear battery is gone I installed a keeper chain so the battery wouldn't end up someday dragging down the road!

I changed my primary fuel filter, I took the old Baldwin filter (cartridge) type and replaced it with a modern type Racor filter 10 Micron, Much easier and not over the batteries .

Took the "Reelcraft" water hose reel out and apart as the spring in the end casing rattled a lot when I hit a bump and it could be heard in the coach while driving. I always thought it was the pocket door but it is the reel. A bit fiddly taking it apart. I made a big teflon gasket to go between the spring and outside end cover then re assembled. Now it is quieter. I used one of the flexible kitchen counter cutting sheets (about .020" thick) and it is perfect. I will see how it works while driving and I may take out the electric reel and do the same.

Replaced fridge vent cover with new "Camco" universal cover.  The old cover was chalky and falling apart, in fact when I removed it and dropped it from the ladder to the ground it fell to pieces.  It was a simple install as the cover is made to fit either Dometic or Norcold bases.  Mine was a Dometic and has four screws that you remove then it comes off.  The new cover has 8 dimples indicating the location for the new screws and are marked "D" and "N" (Dometic and Norcold).  I pre-drilled the 4 "D" dimples and used the original screws that I removed from the old cover as they were stainless steel and the new ones were not.  I then used silicone caulk on the screws and under the screw heads and installed the cover.  Took about 15 minutes.

Barely made it a major repair shop to finally replace the chassis air pressure governor.  With it not working the chassis will not air up or lose air pressure as you drive the coach and work the brakes and suspension.  Amazing the guy who sold it did not notice this issue.  Did it the day I drove it home.  Oh well.  Next the dried out fuel line.

After reading about the black end caps on ladders breaking or cracking I checked mine and sure enough several were cracked. I use my ladder quite often so I ordered new end caps and screws for all 9 rungs. Today checked all the connections where the ladder attaches to the moho and all was good. Installed new end caps and now I'm good for another 12 plus years.

After repairing my ladder I have as surplus several black end caps.  These are used bur I have checked them and there are no cracks.  If anyone needs some let me know and I'll send them.

With the help(he actually did almost all the work) of Bill Willett, we replaced the fuel pump on my generator. Physically relocated it off the hot engine block to the slide-out frame, and also placed a small in-line filter prior to the pump itself since mine did not leave the factory that way. We were done in about 30 minutes.

Red Tractor, you can order the parts from Factory RV Surplus, or call:574 262-3327. 2 caps and 6 screws to do 1 step (rung) costs $5.50 plus shipping. I replaced all 9 of them for $61.41.

Finally managed to acquire all the parts needed to install the 1500 watt pure sine inverter on the aft bulkhead of the vacuum cleaner compartment. This compartment is conveniently located (for once!) directly above the batteries. Since our batteries reside in their own handy-dandy sealed container we had to drill two holes in the forward lower portion for the cables. Fortunately I remembered to only install one connector and *then* feed the cable through and install the other.

The DW (who does most of the dirty work being still young enough to be free of arthritis and various injuries) installed the 150-amp fuse on the forward bulkhead in the battery bay which will fuse the positive line to the inverter. Tomorrow I'll drill through the floor of the vacuum cupboard into the battery bay so I can measure, cut and assemble the cables and then run them into position and finish the ring connectors.

It will probably be Sunday or Monday before we have everything in place to turn the inverter on and see if the magic smoke stays inside the case. Nothing is easy on a motor home... but it's a lot easier than a boat!

Read post about the ladder caps so went to check mine yesterday. Caps OK but bottom eight screws thru fiberglass holding the ladder on were kinda loose, as in stripped. Went and got 2" long stainless bolts and nuts and blocks of pressure treated lumber. The old screws only went thru the fiberglass and really didn't support much. Luckily I could access the inside in the engine compartment to hold the wood blocks and nuts in place while assembling. The ladder will now support my "fluffy" self.

I picked up my coach and drove it home last Monday.  I want to thank Mel Cordray and Mike Rodgers  at MOT for all of the help with getting me on the road.  That place is great!  The coach fits in my barn, and is docked with my newly installed 50 amp service, (Big concern).  I have been busy with cleaning and conditioning all of the leather, cleaning and conditioning all of the cabinetry, (man, there is a lot of wood!), and removing the antiquated audio-video components, and rewiring what is left.  The old Datron 3000 doesn't seem to work, so that is going, also.  Plan is to install some sort of stationery Dish sat system. Installed a new Sirius radio to interface with the audio and Bose system. Steam cleaning of the carpeting and overheads is next....

I reworked the windshield washer nozzles/fittings and tubing up to the wipers. I was able to do it without any major work as I was able to reach around to get to the passenger side from the removable panel in front of the passenger seat.

Replaced the dash air compressor clutch and the circuit breaker. It is blowing cold!

Bought new wiper blades.

Removed the muffler from the Aqua Hot exhaust.

Replaced the sped/odometer as the old one the readout on the odometer faded out to where I could no longer read it. This is the second replacement on this coach.

Sanitized the water system..getting ready to go somewhere!! Don't know where, don't care, just want to go!!

I had added the "spinner" attachment to the black water tank and decided to try it out. It really works, so much so that it broke three pieces  of crud loose that looked like they had been in the tank for 20+ years. It did pay to do a complete, thorough flush plus multiple rinses before we got home this spring.
Made a set of wood risers so I can set the "step" at a decent height. Checked out my stand for the 32" LCD TV so it sits on the fresh water tank. The TV clears the visors by about 1-1/2"
Next project on Monday: Wash and wax the entire coach. Can't have a Foretravel going down the road dirty!!

Finally have our pad poured for Chugs resting area.    48x20 pad that will join existing shop.    50 amp service, water, and dumping station.  Made to order trusses will tie into slope of existing roofline.        Rv deserves a shady area to spend resting between trips.
