What's the mileage on your coach?

Foretravels are built to last several hundred thousand miles before a major rebuild is neccessary. That's what I've read many times.
I thought it would be interesting to see just how many miles are on our forum members coaches......without haveing a major rebuild done.

Our 95 has 89,000, considered low mileage I suppose?

Our '93 U280 has 175,500...still running perfectly!  Other than belts/filters, everything on the engine is original (except the lift pump, fuel shutoff solenoid, and belt idlers - all of which were still working when I replaced them - preventative maintenance).

Ours is at 170,000. Looking at my files from the PO, I see nothing serious done to the engine or the trans, though I do have Papa Brett on my butt to service/replace the air dryer. The Airstream/Isuzu had 248,000 when we moved her on, with nothing but a couple of turbos. On our GV , just about everything mentioned in this thread has either been serviced/replaced!

Our 2001 U270 had 62000 on it when we bought it, now 129,700 miles.  Had the valves adjusted in 2014- the only time the engine cover has been off.  Also had some oil seals replaced at the same time.  We live full time in our coach and plan to do so for 10, 15, or however long we are able to do so.  Looks like we need to get moving to catch some of you................. ^.^d

Wow, 237 is inspiring.

Ours is at 156,000. 1995 U280.
With an engine re-sleeved at 70,000 due to an air cleaner issue. Guess we can't blame Foretravel or Cummins for that one.

Our '93 U300 has just short of 90K miles. Replaced batteries, belts when we bought it. PM, minor bulbs, water heater board, etc since with only one airbag costing over $100. Other than that, it's been only improvements we made. Zero coach bucks in 6 years of ownership.

We have about 165,000 on our 1995 U320. I would like to wear it out some day--but I suspect old age will catch up to me before I can get it to 1,000,000 miles!

We are at 71K miles on our 2001 U320.  About 5K since the engine was rebuilt after an air filter failed. We have spent about 3 coach bucks on repairs (including the engine and batteries).  Plus normal maintenance.  Plus upgrades we chose to do.  We are due for 6 new tires over the next 16 months.

I have 58k on my 2001 U320.  Which seems very low. But has 3000+ hours on gen set which seems like a lot.

Only had it for a year now, have replaced shocks and re-install a new secondary fuel filter the PO had removed.

I still go to work everyday so "rocket" is only used for weekend racing trips (for now). And now that winter has arrived in BC, it will sit in a warm shop until April.

I was about to be pretty proud of my 195,000 then John44 posted... :(

Only problem has been with the hydraulic pump which is not "really" an engine problem. (it was engineered/added on by FOT) It lasted 185,000. Can't complain too much.

All of your responses are inspiring.  I have been leary to buy a coach with 100k miles on it.  I was afraid that there would be so many needed major repairs that it would be cost prohibitive to buy older and less expensive.  For me, this has been one of the more informative threads.

I do have one more question...I hear the term "Coach Bucks" used frequently.  What is one coach buck equal to?

Thanks All,
  Tom
