Guidance on selling a coach

We are considering selling our coach and getting a place at the beach.  Does anyone have experience with this?  Would you take the coach to Foretravel and let them handle selling it or is there someone else that would be better?
Thanks in advance,
Greg

Rudy,
If we decide to sell, is there a certain person there you would recommend?
Thanks!

Knowing what I know now, were I to be looking for a fresh coach, I'd be shopping at FOT or MOT .  ^.^d

There are pros and cons of personal sale and then who to use. I would take it to Nacogdoches and interview both FOT and MOT and decide which firm that you would like to handle your consignment. For sale by owner yields the least amount of qualified prospects, and may in fact result in a lower overall net yield to the owner, with a much higher hassle factor and usually a scammer or two.

God luck and let us know what you decide.

Motorhomes of Texas, aka MOT,
Luxury Pre-Owned Motorhome Dealer for Foretravel Newell Country Coach.

They have the largest Foretravel buyers following and will even pickup your coach.  Consignment is a major part of their business and they have a good consignment program / contract.

But then. . . at this moment, we are a few feet from tidal Mission Beach in Pacific Beach San Diego, one mile from the Pacific Ocean in our motorhome, and we can move to other beaches when the spirit calls.  So why not sell your proposed beach home and buy your motorhome.  .  .

Kinda off your original subject, I realize.....

We love being at the beach - but, our experience here in Texas is that the cost of the waterfront (or water view) real estate (plus the taxes, insurance, and maintenance) make the cost of owning a motorhome look like pennies.  And then there are those pesky hurricanes....

Good luck with whatever you decide.  Everyone raves about MOT.  Your coach looks very nice!

Interesting, am planning on taking my 2001, 320, 36' to MOT within a week or so, when ever I can get out of here.

One other thing, they keep the unit cool in the summer.  It is plugged in. They run the generator once a week under load for an hour too.  I love to hear them all going.

Not for nothing, but I like the idea of listing it here.  Maybe list it here for a period of time before calling MOT.  There is a pretty big pool of potential buyers, and not a lot of potential for fraudsters to contact you.

I would sell at MOT but while any salesman can help you, to sell i would talk to the Sales Manager, Jason Haskins.  I sold two there.

As for why MOT, one reason is that MOT will help you set a realistic price.  That is important and i can explain if you want, but there are also other reasons i would go there.  You can get offers from other reputable dealers in Nac and elsewhere but i think you will end up at MOT.

Good luck.

I'm a fan of MOT, and second the vote for Jason.  I have found them to be excellent and I'm demeaning as heck.  But, you might float it here first for a bit.

I would use Jason Haskins at Motorhomes of Texas. You will be pleased with the assistance they will provide on selling your coach.

I have heard that Motorhomes of Texas has so many buyers looking that some coaches are sold ahead of time before they get listed.

I've bought two coaches from the classifiedsof this forum.  Both were very straightforward deals, priced realistically by knowledgeable  owners. Both purchased for asking price and both parties happy, no ten per centers involved. No regrets and no surprises.  There is a fabulous coach with impeccable mechanics mentioned above.  Somebody needs to hop quick.

We bought our coach at MOT and traded our SOB.  They did all the paperwork, helped a lot with our limited time.  They are marketing nationally and can help buyers with financing which can be a plus if financing is needed to sell the coach.

Best of luck.
