beware water intrusion from retracted bladders, especially if not level and one side is tilting "In" towards coach - ESPECIALLY if slides were out...water would flow from top off slide, toward coach and into coach and sidewalls

Sounds like he is in the business of buying stuff at the auction that can be had cheaply, turning around and selling it for a quick profit, without not being a pig.  He probably bought it cheap, and wants to sell it without spending anything on it.  I'll bet he's eager to sell it fast so he doesn't have his cash tied up too long.  The coach was almost certainly neglected, which is not a good thing, but you could get lucky.  It would be interested to know what the hours are on the generator.  That might be a good indicator of how it was used as well.  I'd be looking at it if it were on the east coast.

Start and run was what's needed.

I prefer coaches personally that need everything.  Then I can run the good out of the new stuff.

Yea I understand it could be $20-30k.

Do you like the floorplan?
As for the floorplan, yes wife really likes it with the additional storage  over a 36 or 38'. I really like the 2 pass thru's and over all usability for 2 to 3 week dry camping at remote lakes (such as Magone Lake in eastern Oregon)
That said, not interested in any coaches older than a '02 or '03

That is the one issue that I must address before even getting serious on the deal.. there is a 40' 320 for sale nearby that the dealer has had to totally rebuild the slide area due to dry rot and it has other structural issues as well.

My comment here on floorplans may  bring a lot of posts

Never really liked the galley on the curb side if I had a choice,  That puts the dinette looking at the neighbors camp site on the street side.

Only old ORED's  I remember having a dinette on the street side was a 40' SBID.

Saddlesore - I've mentioned this before, my 2005 coach has the curbside dinette with the galley on the drivers side.  That was a prime selling point.  Our U295 38 footer has the same basement storage as a U320 40 ft tag, and after 40k miles, I really don't have any issues with the smaller ISL engine.  I go up and down the same hills as everyone else and much better that most SOBs.  My suggestion is have a little more patience and look until you find what really want.  That's my 2 cents.

Yes I noticed that the later floorplans had put the galley back in the street side.

My guru buddy has had to repair a certain amount of flexing plumbing from sliding galleys over the years and of course this eliminates as far as I know having a propane stove top.

Have to disagree - we have a Gaggenau propane stovetop.  No issues to date.

We haven't been in a big hurry to buy, but are actively looking.
We would rather not get  a slide at all, but very few non slides are available in the newer coaches.
The reason for all the questions about individual coaches we have looked at is our present coach is a '99 sob  that we bought trusting a less than stellar dealer.. end result is that most issues known to the dealer were not disclosed or were "dummied up" just to get it off his lot.
I just do not want to end up with another money hungry wench that cannot be used.. Taking multiple "vacations" only to camp at the repair shop far from home gets old quick

Where is your sense of adventure? There is nothing like sitting in a "customer lounge" with nothing but five year old "Ladies Home Journals" to read!  ^.^d  It can be "your day in the barrel", no matter how much we stay on top of our coaches. That being said, I'd stay away from "Dealers" (lies, lies, lies), and be searching forums (we bought this dear on R.V. Forum) and being able to talk with the PO and look at the paperwork. There are a number of FT pros on this forum that can inspect your would-be coach before you fly to ???? only to realize it's not for you. It's happened! You are in a great part of the Country for "real dealers" that actually take pride in their aftermarket consignments. We looked for a year to find our sweetie, as others have said, take your time, know what you (sorta) want.

Yes and have talked to the seller, His asking price is well above our limit.

Also we want a booth dinette and 2 pass thru storage bays. Have no problem swapping out a factory 2 burner cook top for a 3 or 4 burner cooktop with gas oven.. and no I do not want the favorite heifer standing on a step stool trying to lift out a heavy casserole from an overhead convection oven.. and the biskits just don't meet my expectations .
But thnx for the suggestion

The latter is going to be a challenge to find in a Foretravel that's 2002 and newer with slides and has good remaining CCC unless you push towards a 45 footer.  More common in a non-slide coach but those are going to be very hard to find (as you've seen) in a 2002 and newer.

You might find an '02 or '03 40' without tag that has 2 pass thru bays, but if it has slides check the weight (especially in a U320 with the heavier drivetrain).  Otherwise, you'll generally find storage is 1 full pass thru and one half bay on curbside on the newer coaches that are 42 ft. and shorter.

True as we have found.. I have no trouble with handling a 42' tag or a 45 for that matter, will tolerate a single slide if it isn't a galley slide.
We won't be too anxious to make an offer on the 42'tag in Eugene until I can get a good handle on what's what & what's needed.. including calling FT to check on whether or not the coach (build 6036) has had the end cap re-call updates done.
With the super low miles  cap issues may not have shown up yet.

Rare that non owners of the exact brand they are contemplating purchasing get the last coach the first time.

Can and does happen especially here with the help from a fantastic, knowledgable group of owners here.

So many variables.

I would scrounge up some battery's, a couple jumper cables, a fire extinguisher, and get that thing started!
Looks like a nice coach for the price (probably still some room on the downside). Plenty of room in the price to remodel and fix issues.
If you can do your own repairs its almost a no brainier.
