Bet I can buy that puppy for under 50k, it's simple, no one in Oregon has any money, by looking at his lot you can see that guy is running on empty.

Depending on his cash flow situation, he may or may not take less than he has in it. Which might not be that much.

If he is good at business, he knows when to sell at a loss so he has some cash to keep the doors open. Just not too often.

I once bought a piece of property that had been on the market for a year for $30,000 less than asking. How did I do it, you ask?
I walked into the office with an aluminum case containing $50,000 (in $100/ $50 bills, I hoped it would lt would impress him by the size of all that money! )

To me, dead batteries is not a deal breaker.
Chassis batteries will not start the engine or the genset after just one month of sitting without power. Boost to get main engine started, then drive it for at least an hour, or get shore power and charge with boost switch "ON" for over night.  Get it checked out before buying - sounds like it could be an excellent deal.

The first thing I would do after getting running, is take it to Cummins and have the the engine computer check for hours and mileage.

ANY pre-owned RV you buy is a leap of faith.  No matter how good it looks, and how spotless the pedigree, it is possible that unknown (or well hidden) problems will crop up.  If you are lucky, they will all be manageable and affordable.  If not...

The main thing is, you (and your traveling companion) MUST be happy with the basic floor plan.  You can change just about anything on a coach except the physical size and shape.  The living space must be right for you - if not, every little thing that goes wrong will be magnified 10-fold.  If you LOVE the coach, you will put up with a lot of aggravation and unplanned expense...just ask the people on this Forum who have, as a group, endured almost every breakdown and catastrophe imaginable.

Ok, went back down to Sprngfld. got the coach started ( gen set then main engine), both run smooth. needs all batteries replaced...Les Schwab ain't gonna like me.. coach batteries are buried at the back center of #2/#3 bay .. (remove a bunch of those square drive screws bay#2 , get the panel off and look thru into middle of bay3 and there they are.....Chassis batteries ain't placed much better.
BUT have a "check engine" light showing.
Gen set has abt 2400 hrs on it, last serviced @ MOT in '08.
Found several hairline cracks in roof, none over 4" long.
roof A/C's work (after fiddleing with that weird control module. however no dash A/C
fridge/freezer works on Electric, no propane in tank.
have 2 sets of "mood lights"(?) one on floor of bathroom and the other on floor of galley that I didn't find a switch to turn them off..

Ran the slide out to it's stops and back in... bladder is kaput and air shut off to it.
Now for the DUMB Question.
I read that this year of coach used a "Train" type of slide mechanism?????
When the slide started to extend it "tipped down" extended to near full and then "tipped" back up to level.
Did the tipping in reverse order  when I retracted it. then as it "seated" it's self there was a bit of crunching and a few "pop's. Is This normal????
And the travel light came on so pins were doing what they are supposed to do I guess.
Thnx to all and this forum is AWSUM!

As for coach batteries - a lot of us have bought at O'Reilly's - if you consummate a deal you may want to check their prices - many stores will actually install for free I am told.

Good luck on your journey -

FYI, my floor lights are controlled on a switch panel at the entry door.  You will likely find switches all over the coach.  Some of us have crawled around with a flashlight to find them, and also 120 outlets as well.

Search will help with that possible one year that the slides were different.  Faulty memory thinks one member completely redid his with a nice write up a couple years ago.

Brad Slaughter is the go-to 2002 slide mechanism guy on the forum, IMHO.  I know he's currently traveling, so here are some of his technical posts on the subject to get you started:

HWH Hydraulic Fluid Capacity

Large slide moves in.

Modified slide header support for 2002 U270

HWH Cylinder replacement - 2000 U320 Single Slide

Another thing to checkout is the Aquahot.  From what I understand on the forum is freeze damage (from not winterizing) is very expensive - multiple thousands.  While the main coach heating systems has anti-freeze in it, there is a fresh water coil inside the boiler (for your domestic hot water) that can split if allowed to freeze.  I'm no expert on this but the forum has a couple commercial members who do service and might provide some advice:  Roger Berke and Rudy Leggett.

Here's a link from 5 years ago on entire AH replacment (for a different reason) with some cost information: Aqua-Hot replacement
Use the search feature (under "community" tab) to find many more on the subject

I think you are doing all the right things to check this coach out, but if it were me, I would try to make sure I wasn't getting tunnel vision on this one coach - which I have done in the past on other things.  Tunnel vision is the seller's friend.  Just some advice, FWIW, it may not apply to you at all and my apologies if it doesn't.

Lay down on the bed and look up.  More switches, including one labeled floor lights.

And the minor hairline cracks on the roof are fairly normal at this age and easily repaired.

True, dat! I watched my neighbor with a Blue Bird have his AH rebuilt, it was not pretty how trashed it was, mostly, I was told, because of lack of service to catch a problem before what happened to him. Basically, the whole unit had to be rebuilt top to bottom. Even from my chair next door, I could see the CBs flying out of his pocket!  :'(

well the plot thickened a bit, may have AQ leak issues, water intrusion at the slide  and the model data plate #'s show it to be a  4010 not a 4210.......doesn't quite jibe with the sellers description...... :-\
