Domestic Fridge

In process of acquiring a 2003 U320 42.  Has a Domentic fridge.  Underneath the fridge is electronics that cannot be moved.  Or so I am told.  I can't measure the space.  YET.

Question?  What will fit once the factory unit is removed?

Thanks.

Jerry,
You need to find out what is under the LP fridge now.  There is not much that cannot be moved once you know what it is. Inside, under the fridge, hmmm?  It might be intelletouch lighting controls.  I just do not know.  Once you know what it is then there are lots of choices.  A 19 cuft (ish) countertop depth Samsung will fit in a 32" wide space.  Bigger sizes use all 36" width.  4" doesn't seem like much but it will get you a full height, 22" deep pantry.  Great for stuff that fits nowhere else.

It is not too hard to do it yourself.

We have a 2001 42' with Samsung res fridge.  Under it are a bunch of automotive 12 volt fuses mounted on a slide out drawer.  We will rebuild the wooden plywood base this fall as the 3/4" plywood is sagging a bit and the fuse drawer no longer moves.  The fuse drawer is mounted to the bottom of the plywood base.  Will mount the fuse drawer to the floor and lower the plywood floor so the left refer door opens.  Will also use some angle iron under the plywood base to assure that it does not bow.

Good luck.  Measure thrice, cut once.  😊

Our popular inexpensive 10 cu ft 5' x  2' fridge will fit.  Many have installed this fridge.

A quick call to Foretravel to have them pull up the build schematics for your coach will tell you how delicate or touchy the stuff is under your fridge and if it can be moved a bit. . Someone like David Flanagan in the remodel department cann perhaps tell you what they have installed in other coached with your layout. We always got great help from the guys who actually built the coach.

That is the controls for the lighting system. I don't know how much wire is available to move it to a different location

Wires can be spliced into and lengthened as long as you don't exceed the capacity of the wire, otherwise you would have to replace the entire wire from the breaker/fuse.  There is nothing that can't be move really except for things like the engine and trans. Question is , is it worth the bother to do it.
