I got an email about the new TSD Open Roads mobile app yesterday. Replied to the email and awaiting an invite to download the new app. The email says they are limiting registration to 500 each day to prevent the website from crashing. Anyone else get the same? if so, how is the new app?

I got the notificationit yesterday, but won't be able to get the app until the end of the month. Android is last. IOS is what they are doing now!

I downloaded the iOS app but it says that I have to wait for an invitation. Is this normal?

Got it and replied.

I just got back from about 2,300 miles and saved some bucks with the app. I would never have happened on to the places where the price was the best. Searching along the route is a great feature. I hope the new app works as well as this one does.

At one place the card didn't work at the pump but I had no trouble using it inside.

I believe so. I got the email notification which had a link. Clicking the link led to their website that advised to wait for the invitation. They are trying to throttle it down to 500 a day in order to not be overwhelmed. I was hoping someone had gotten it installed.

Why do you need the TDS app? EFS works just fine. Or am I missing something?

From what I understand, the EFS was for professional truckers and they built the TSD for the RV community. They both work and have some apparently minor differences.
They seem to be a little overwhelmed with all the RV additions. I hesitate to say this but the members on this forum seem to be more able to work the card and system because they are seasoned RVers. The TSD site is plagued with basic questions and problems that have not been seen here. I think this is a problem caused by all the new entries to the RV world. You know, everyone started new once but, I don't think this many new folks have ever entered the system at one time.

TSD is a logistics company who uses WEX Inc to manage their fuel purchases using WEXs EFS fuel card.
My assumption is that TSD gets volume discounts on their fuel purchases so the more fuel they purchase the cheaper it gets. Inviting RVers to become basically contractors using their account increases their fuel purchases which gains them better discounts. Looks like a win-win deal for both us and them.
At least that is how I see it.

So far this year I've purchased 875 gallons of diesel at an average cost of $1.79 per gallon. Mostly in Texas and all at TA/Petro locations.
I'm happy with that.

No reason to not try the new app. It's not hard to delete it if it isn't substantially better than the EFS app.

I'm still waiting for app invitation since 9-8 20. Should I have received by now.? Was going to run down to Kingman for fuel today And would like to know who to shop at.
