New owners of 2004 U295

Hi everyone,

We are so excited to be new owners of a 38ft 2004 U295 coach! We are moving up from a 27ft Sandpiper travel trailer towed with a Ford F350.

We did a lot of research and had narrowed down to only look at Country Coach and Foretravel. One we saw a Foretravel, our mind was made up. This forum site was invaluable in our research as well as Barry's beamalarm site. Having an active user forum is really great and we hope to be able to learn and contribute as we go forward. I'm pretty hands on and had self-installed the solar and inverter system on our trailer and rebuilt the Jeep CJ7 from the frame up, but there is a ton to learn about a diesel pusher chassis.

We had amazing sellers that took great care during their ownership. Our coach had a major factory interior remodel in 2008 which if you had told us it was done in 2018, we would have believed it. Here are a few of pictures. If you share our recent addiction of reviewing Foretravel ads, which likely will not go away with our coach ownership, you may have seen it. The motorcade number is at least 2 owners ago so we have to look into removing those.

Beautiful coach........I too looked at Country Coach's for about a year and then was turned on to Foretravel by a friend.....and once I saw and learned about FT the decision was made. Not to mention that FT is still in business and has spectacular technical support.

We had a Country Coach in the nineties, was looking again, since we're 20 minutes from the Country Coach capital, Junction City Oregon.  But then I saw a Foretravel, the unbelievable group of people on this forum, talked with some factory folks, and that's all it took.  Quality, and a support system that I don't think exists for other brands.  We have been more than thrilled.  See you all in Quartsite in January.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!

So far we are just getting used to things at home but are planning a couple of short trips of less than 200 miles R/T within the next few weeks. I'll be posting some tech questions in their own threads soon if searching doesn't yield answers.

Each time we are in it we are more impressed with the build quality. I was reminded that the interior remodel was done in 2011 not 2008, but I am amazed that the tile shower has fewer grout cracks (actually none) than bathrooms that we remodeled in our house in 2014. That takes a pretty rigid structure.

Beautiful coach. Do you know where that work was done?
