WTB driver side bedroom window

I just discovered something broke the nonsliding side of the window on the street side of our '89 u280. I'll call FT in the morning, just on the slight chance they have glass that old, but assuming they don't, does anyone know where to find such a thing? After a bit more digging it looks like I'll call Motion Glass in the morning unless someone pipes up with any other info.

Make a card board template and find a glass person near you.
Or remove the other side and have it duplicated.

I blew a window out in my 5th wheel and couldn't find anyone in Phoenix that was willing to cut new glass for it because it was in an RV. If you go this route I suggest telling them it's for a shed instead.

Good call, Elliot.  I'll second this.

Also it can help to go with a small independent business and not one of the big chains like Safeauto.  Had a similar problem on a fifth wheel.  Now older Airstreams, those are some windows you do not want to have to source. Been down that path too, unfortunately.

Probably they don't want to cut glass for an RV as the RV needs temperate glass and it's harder
to cut.

Jay, maybe a good time to upgrade the bedroom Windows if it's in the cards. Thinking about doing the same with my U270. Probably one of the best upgrades I can think of doing on my  coach and being the previous owner of your coach I know they were not the tightest. 1600 or 1800 series Motion Windows would be a great upgrade and they are just down the road from us.

Any reputable glassshop will have no issues with cutting, prepping and getting tempered. I'm still planning on replacing all but the front glass with new tinted lowE 100%UV protection. Front glass will get ceramic window tint to help the UV issues

Can't cut tempered, the tempering process assures that any attempt to cut will result in the entire piece's destruction.  In return, it is enormously strong, but violate an edge with a chip, or attempt to cut and you will be left with a bucket full of glass crumbles.

What you can do is find a glass shop which will accurately cut, sand and edge polish a piece of glass to shape and then send it to a tempering facility who will heat and control cool the piece to yield a tempered unit.  We did that for pilothouse windows for our offshore boat.

The alternative is a piece of laminated plate safety glass, not as good as tempered but in practice, sufficient and easy to fabricate.

Scott,  no need to be concerned about window seals Jay's U280 and my U270 have single pane glass ( no pain ) with age they are not as tight in frame as new, reason for suggesting a window upgrade.
