Radiator fan

Foretravel parts said it's a 21 " sucker fan that goes on my 2000-320-42. BUT- no stock and no production. Has anyone run into this situation?

As rare a failure rate of the fan, there is sure to be some at the wrecking yards that have been mentioned on the Forum

Find an old school radiator shop in your area that works on class 8 truck radiators. He will have a fan book that will show bolt patterns, dimensions, and pitch.  You might could just take the other one off and tell the fellow you need another one like this.

After 3 weeks of moving into our new home, we will be tackling this fan project. Has anyone removed or replaced their radiator fan in a 320- 42 foot coach? I wonder if the radiator must be removed to access?
I injured myself during this move and a mechanic friend is going to help me. Any wisdom that you can share we would appreciate it.

The fan and motor assembly can be removed under the coach without removing the radiator.

I did my fan seals two years ago and took the fans out the bottom and service the trans
cooler and hung the cooler from the frame at the same time. While you have the fans
out it would be a good idea to change the motor seals as they are cheep and only take
a few minutes to change.

Peter, do you have a source for the seals?
One of mine has seapage.

I got mine from a local seal shop and I'm away now on Vancouver Island now and when I
get home I will see if I can find the numbers for you but they are a common seal. You will
have to drop the hydraulic oil so a good time the change the hydraulic filters. I will be home
Thursday.

I also removed the fans and fan motors from the bottom. I had to drain the radiator as the bottom radiator tube did need to be removed.
These were the seals I used from McMaster Carr.

Also, you can get some plastic caps and plugs to cap off the lines being removed. You can do this and loose very little hydraulic fluid.
Make sure you careful to not get dirt or grime into the hydraulic lines while working.
You can get them at NAPA.

Well, he's 81 and believes this project is too much for him.
It seems we can't locate a fan. This is turning into a problem

Looks like if you have a 2000 era coach and the radiator fan falls apart- you might as well start parting the coach out, as there are none to be had. I never thought I would hit a dead end like this.

Exactly what is wrong?  I when back and readied the thread and people have offered options but we have not heard the results of any of them.  I think the only thing we know is you have some seals leaking. Are you needing a new 21 " sucker fan and if so why, what happened to the one that was there?
