98 u295 unit 5219 Allison retarder issue-not functioning

Allison mh-3000

D12112 Allison code for tps, king throttle with filter wire cut and unit sealed by I think Keith, and unable to clear code, no trans retarder operation, everything else works including cruise
This coach was Dave Cobb coach that many of you will recognize as a mid-entry 36' model

A slightly different problem, but again a sheared bolt on the TPS was the cause

Not following this problem, but wanted to share that King Throttle Control usually has an electronic Allison Throttle Position Sensor built in, where one of the King Control cable plugs connects to the Allison computer to notify Allison were the throttle is positioned. In this case there is no mechanical Allison TPS installed.

Yes, if coach is operating with King throttle control no mechanical TPS.

I cleared similar codes by replacing retarder 12 volt relay switch behind driver side lower kick panel.

Might want to contact Brent Delfel @ Advance Diagnostics #501-500-3611 he is the go to guy for King Control.
