I concur with reply 20 and after using the Thetford to Valterra twist on adapter a season, it leaks, I cut off the thetford fitting, glued on the adapter for valterra and finally have a system that works for me.
I have a clear straight fitting with a valve and clean out connection that can be directed into tank or down waste hose. With the valve shut you can get a more effective back flush of tank. Partially fill tank and then open valve. Amazing what is still left behind. My coach often was too low for 90 degree out of coach to work well. A floject would have to be supported some way to my thinking and that support would need to be adjustable.
It took me longer to order the parts than install it. Good luck. We almost all find a way to convert to Valterra because you can resupplied at Walmart and most RV parks. Good luck finding Thetford equipment on the road.
